Don't be an idiot!

How can a 28-year old man be so effin' stupid? And his 25-year old wife can be so witless that she can follow her husband into hiding - that is before they gave themselves up to the police after being advised by police and friends - after their 6-year old son flew 15 meters up in the air, got stuck in a tree with an open skull and his brains lost somewhere in between. Oh my God, what has gotten into the people in this world? I wonder where all the humanity went.

Haven't the Government and the media been showing all sorts of adverts on the dangers and hazards of illegal fireworks and firecrackers and what-not's? Haven't there been enough mishaps and accidents when it comes to all this illegal fireworks and firecrackers since the government banned all firecrackers - except for the "happy boom" and "pop pop" types - few years ago? So why are there people who are still trying to smuggle and sell these things, and not to mention endanger themselves and the people around them in the process?

And one more thing, if you're really going to do something illegal, why do you have to involve a young child into this business? If you're storing the bloody firecrackers in that allegedly "safe house", then why do you leave your 6-year old son with two young guys who might not be attentive to your son's whereabouts and then go do your errands somewhere else? Why not just bring the boy along? And where the heck is the mother in this picture? I thought mothers are often attached to their little ones. What kind of mother is this woman? I don't even want to write their names. Why should we even want to know this kind of people?

If this is the kind of parents roaming around in this country, then no wonder we have lots of social problems with our young generation. If you don't have a clue how to become parents, don't be one! It's not just about trying to keep yourself from vice and sin, it's about being able to fulfill your responsibilities. If you can't do that, then go water the plant or something.

Gosh, I cannot imagine the boy stuck on top of some tree without his brains. I... My goodness! All this people, what an embarrassment to nature!

Hey Bells.. yalah.. i was soooo devastated when I saw this on the news and I do share your sentiments on this issue. It's so heartbreaking, really.. the boy is the same age as my son and it really really bothered me. It's such a shame that yet another life is lost due to negligence and irresponsibilities of the adults around him.

In SG we dont have people openly without regards doing it and when I first came here and in fact till today still curse each time I heard the popping of one. I hate it and I hate people who do it.. Just that day I marah a group of youngster for popping some our lift lobby.. i dont even care that there were adults watching there! Stupid effing adults.. all should be SHOT!

How people act when it comes to making money sometimes boggles the mind. Do you really have to resort to doing illegal things... and in the process hurt your own family member? >:o

they should not b parents. they probably got pregnant then got married and then don't know how to take care of the child..

stupid people.. they should be hanged

Yeah, I think this type of parents should also be trialed for murder.. Not just those parents who dumps babies. Negligence that can lead to death can still be considered as murder. Malaysia needs to reshuffle all the old laws and add more specific laws and sentences.

People resort to illegal things either because they don't have a way out or because they're just lazy. Illegal things can bring easy money. So those kind of people yang akal pendek, yang kecik2 tak nak mampus punya jenis, they'll always bring problems and also hurt their own family in the process. Sad, but true..

I want to wait and see if the parents would be tried for murder or not. Parents I mean including the father la. Coz right now I see the papers are only implicating the father while the mother is like being pardoned or something, I don't know..  *DONT_KNOW* *DONT_KNOW* *DONT_KNOW*  If the mother is freed, there's something very wrong with our law system

And sadly it wasn't the boy's stupidity but the parents'.. But because of that stupidity (or should we say, greed), a 6-year old had to die.

But I do wonder, if that boy lived, who's to say if he's going to be better than his parents considering the fact his parents kept him in with their illegal business. Maybe the boy would've been a bigger illegal taiko in the next few years.

So, should the parents be tried for murder only or immoral teachings as well?  *DONT_KNOW* *DONT_KNOW* *DONT_KNOW*

But I see lately there are lots of adults (parents) that are like this. For example, near my house area ada flats and usually we would go makan there. So, I notice that these children from as young as 6 year old lepak2 until malam dekat luar, mixing with the older naughty boys and even dah belajar how to "rempit" with their bicycles. I mean "rempit" is doing all those stunts and then main2 cycle macam ular at the main road with heavy traffic.

Yang pelik tu, their parents know what their children is doing. But the parents can just look and then smile2 as if their kids have achieved something when they managed not to get hit by a car.

I wonder if there's a difference between the teachings of educated parents compared to non-educated parents? If so, how can we improve Malaysia's future generation? It's like a never-ending same cycle.  *DONT_KNOW* *DONT_KNOW* *DONT_KNOW*  Then if something bad happen, who's to blame?

Tell me about it! Memang parents like these should be shot la.. How they can be parents also I don't know. And it's so stupid kan that these adults yang sepatutnya know better can just stand there and smile2 as if their kids are doing the right thing.

And yang paling I cannot tahan is when the kids are so kurang ajar but the parents can just cakap in a soft tone, "jangan nak.. jangan.." like takut with the child or something. I mean, people say "nak melentur buluh biar dari rebung" right? Parents have the rights to mould their kids from young. What they do when the kids are young is how the kids will grow up to be. So don't la be scared with your own 5-year old. Be firm. Bukannya suruh pukul sepak terajang sampai nak mati but be firm. Show them who's boss. Make them follow. Not the other way around. Then when the kid grow up to be someone who'd kick you and threaten to rape his own sister, you blame the world instead of yourself.. Memang bodoh nak mampus la mak bapak macam tu. If I knew them, I'd say "padan muka!"

Ohhh HAHAHA!! You're not the only one yang tgh marah sangat. From my reply, I pun tgh marah ni.. HAHA!! :-D  Oh but I also love fireworks. Especially during New Year or Merdeka Day.. I love fireworks and colourful lights and rainbows and the smell of new cut grass.. :-D   :-D   :-D

you got a point there as the earliest children education starts at home - if it's screwed-up from the start then in most cases the child will always grow up being a screwed up person.
